Top-5 NFL MVP Candidates for 2014

By on October 20, 2014

In a year where Tom Brady and Drew Brees are not playing at as high of a level as NFL fans are accustomed to, the 2014 NFL MVP race is wide open.

These are the top-5 MVP Candidates:

#5 – Peyton Manning, Broncos QB

Indianapolis Colts v Denver Broncos

The reigning MVP is putting up great numbers, but the Broncos offense is still being tinkered with after Wes Welker’s suspension was reduced, while Peyton Manning continues to get more familiar with new WR Emmanuel Sanders. Julius Thomas has been Peyton Manning’s favorite target thus far in the 2014 season and when defense roll coverage Thomas’ way, the outside should open up for the explosive WRs and Manning could move up this list as they reach midseason form.
