15 Players To Watch During the 2014 NFL Preseason

By on July 20, 2014

The 2014 NFL Training Camp is where roster spots will be earned for the upcoming season. Coaches will be pushing their players harder than they have all offseason and seeing who has been working to see more playing time on Sundays. The under-the-radar players on this list are poised to surprise everyone with the opportunities they will be given during training camp and chosen by the @NFLRT followers.

 Browns WR Andrew Hawkins

Browns Andrew Hawkins - Andrew Weber

The Browns signed Hawkins to an offer sheet as a restricted free agent and the Bengals chose not to match. Andrew Hawkins has shown glimpses of playmaking ability while trying to re-establish his NFL career after being the runner-up on Michael Irvin’s 4th & Long reality show. An injury in 2013 prevented him from building on his success from 2012, where he had 51 catches for 533 yards and 4 touchdowns, but now he is healthy and motivated to play his old team twice a year in the AFC North.

With the trouble that follows  Josh Gordon around and the uncertainty of his availability for 2014, Andrew Hawkins has a chance to gain some continuity early on with Johnny Manziel and establish himself as a playmaking slot receiver in a Browns offense still searching for weapons.
