#2 – Rams QB, Sam Bradford

2014 Base Salary: $14,015,000 (4th Highest among Quarterbacks; 6th Highest in the NFL)

Rams-Sam-Bradford - Ron Schwane USATSI

Sam Bradford’s contract is a result of the previous Collective Bargaining Agreement that allowed top draft picks to negotiate deals that escalated faster than the salary cap could keep up with. The fact that Bradford is made of glass makes this contract one of the most uneven contract in NFL history. Bradford has only played two full seasons in the NFL and will have missed 41 of 80 possible games by the end of the 2014 season. While Bradford’s base salary drops to $12,985,000 in 2015, his time in St. Louis is likely over and his career as a backup QB elsewhere will begin.
