Monday Night Preview
There is a double header tradition on the first week of MNF, but the games this year are the stepchildren equivalent of the week 1 schedule.
Giants @ Lions should be over quickly. The Lions offense will dominate the Giants defense and the Giants offense won’t be able to keep up while Eli tries to out-throw Romo with interceptions.
Chargers @ Cardinals could actually be an entertaining game, but due to the fact that it’s a random AFC-NFC matchup, it’s unlikely that many people on the East Coast will even stay awake for the entirety of the game. Cardinals win a wild one in the desert.
Quick Preview of Next Week
Don’t forget that Thursday Night Football starts in week 2 this year! Steelers @ Ravens will be an entertaining one. Ravens get back on track and beat the Steelers on Sept. 11th.
Dolphins @ Bills should be an interesting, albeit unexpected, battle for an early first place lead in the AFC East.
Chiefs @ Broncos will be the game to pick in your eliminator bracket. Chiefs don’t stand a chance.
Lions @ Panthers features some under the radar NFC teams, but will Cam Newton be back next week?
Falcons @ Bengals is a matchup of the past two teams featured on Hard Knocks. Both teams are 1-0 and looking to establish themselves as serious players for a playoff spot in 2014.
Jaguars @ Redskins could be bad; an awesome kind of bad. The Redskins will need to get their offense on track against a Jaguars team that allowed 34 unanswered points.
