#1 – Albert Haynesworth, Washington Redskins, 2009

The crown jewel of all bad NFL free agent deals was made shortly after midnight on the first day of the 2009 free agency period. Dan Snyder was like a kid in a candy store and could not wait to show off his next FA bust to the world. His record contract (7-years, $100Million with $41Million guaranteed) proved to be one of the biggest mistakes in all of professional sports. Haynesworth was lazy, out of shape, and acted like a diva on and off the field during his 2 years with the Redskins.
