#4 – The Immaculate Reception

December 23, 1972 – AFC Divisional Playoff vs Raiders

The Steelers were down 7-6 to the Raiders on 4th & 10 with only 22 seconds left in the game. Terry Bradshaw threw the ball up to Steelers John “Frenchy” Fuqua, who was open in the middle of the field, but infamous Raider Jack Tatum delivered one of his signature hits to jar the ball from Fuqua. Rookie Franco Harris was running towards the ball so as to block for Fuqua once he made the catch, but found himself swooping in to catch the ball just before it hit the ground and ran it in for a touchdown.
