Top 5 Hail Mary’s in NFL History

By on December 4, 2015

It’s not too often that an NFL game will end with a Hail Mary, but the Packers won an improbable Thursday Night Football game with a 61-yard Hail Mary from Aaron Rodgers to Richard Rodgers after being down 20-0 to their NFC North rivals, the Detroit Lions. The win also prevented the Lions from a season sweep of the Packers, keeping their 24-year streak alive.

Where would you rank the Packers’ Motown Miracle?

Looking back, these are the top-5 Hail Mary’s in NFL history:

#5 – The Fail Mary (Intertouchdownception), Sept. 24, 20012

This plays kicks off the list because, while it counted, everyone outside of Seattle and Golden Tate knows this was NOT a touchdown catch but an interception by M.D. Jennings. Thanks to the NFL replacement refs, this play will go down in NFL infamy.
