NFL Free Agency Winners/Losers
Winner - DT Ndamukong Suh, Miami Dolphins
The top free agent took his talents to South Beach after he signed a 6-year/$114M contract in a state without any income tax.
Loser - DeMarco Murray
DeMarco Murray is holding out for a reported $9M/year contract. Murray stated that he wants to play for the team that gives him the best opportunity to play for a Super Bowl, but the Raiders and Jaguars are currently his suitors. It turns out that teams have done their research when projecting the future for running backs with more than 375 carries in a season and the market for Murray is going to be considerably smaller than he originally anticipated.
Winner - Carolina Panthers
TE Greg Olsen (re-signed)
OT Michael Oher
WR Ted Ginn Jr.
RB Fozzy Whittaker (re-signed)
TE Ed Dickson (re-signed)
DT Dwan Edwards (re-signed)
OL Brian Folkerts
WR Brenton Bersin
DT Colin Cole
The Panthers made a huge effort to keep some of their depth while adding a few players who could be key contributors, such as Michael Oher and the return of Ted Ginn Jr.
