Top 20 Fantasy QBs - Week 6

By on October 14, 2015

11. Joe Flacco

@ San Francisco 49ers

24

For Joe Flacco, I consider this a generous ranking, but the Ravens are facing a 49ers defense that allows the 4th most ppg to QBs (19.8). Flacco is a good start if your QB1 is on bye.

12. Eli Manning

@ Philadelphia Eagles

28

Yes, Eli Manning is ranked at 6th among fantasy QBs and is facing an average Eagles secondary, but his #1 and #2 wideout in Odell Beckham, Jr. and Reuben Randle are questionable for Monday night’s game. If they are no-shows, this will drastically hurt Manning’s fantasy value.

13. Marcus Mariota

vs. Miami Dolphins

9

The Miami Dolphins are in a free fall this season and, for some, were a Super Bowl contender. Expect Marcus Mariota to light it up against a Dolphins defense who average 16 ppg surrendered.

14. Alex Smith

@ Minnesota Vikings

13

With their #1 RB out in Jamaal Charles, the Kansas City Chiefs will have to rely more on the talents of “The Checkdown King” Alex Smith. More pass attempts for Smith is excellent for the 13th QB in scoring this year.

15. Colin Kaepernick

vs. Baltimore Ravens

20

Josh McCown threw for over 400 yards against the Ravens last Sunday. Josh McCown. Despite Colin Kaepernick‘s recent woes, he’s a good start if you’re QB has a bad match up or is on bye.

16. Peyton Manning

@ Cleveland Browns

6

This has not been the Peyton Manning we’ve known in the past couple years. His health is obviously declining as he’s struggling to make downfield throws. I’m predicting a below 15 point performance and Denver’s first loss of the season against the Browns.

17. Sam Bradford

vs. New York Giants

17

Sam Bradford is finally shaping into his role in Chip Kelly’s offense, and this was displayed as he earned a solid 17 point performance last week. Expect similar production this week against the Giants who allow the 9th most points to QBs.

18. Jay Cutler

@ Detroit Lions

17

Cutler‘s late game heroics have restored slight faith in the Chicago Bears for me. With each week Alshon Jeffery is getting closer to health and the offense is starting to connect, even without him. They’re facing the 0-5 Lions this week and is a good match up for Cutler.

19. Ryan Fitzpatrick

vs. Washington Redskins

BYE

I like Ryan Fitzpatrick. This guy is not afraid to drop back and sling it, especially to the resurrected Brandon Marshall. Expect the former Harvard grad, coming off his bye, to have done his homework and to perform well against Washington.

20. EJ Manuel

vs. Bengals

0 (Did not start)

EJ Manuel will get his first start of the season as Tyrod Taylor is out with an MCL injury.
