NFL Offensive Player of the Year

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

After helping a few shortsighted fans R-E-L-A-X early in the season, Aaron Rodgers was the driving force in the NFL’s most efficient offense in which he threw for 4,381 yards, 38 touchdowns, and only 5 interceptions.

NFLRT Preseason Prediction: Drew Brees, Saints

AFC Alternative: Le’Veon Bell, Steelers

NFL Defensive Player of the Year

J.J. Watt, Houston Texans

J.J. Watt continued his defensive dominance in 2014 (the 1st player with 20+ sacks in multiple seasons), while also showing what he can do offensively as he caught 3 touchdown passes when lining up at tight end for the Texans. Watt is in the discussion for the 2014 NFL MVP and would be only the second defensive player in NFL history to receive the honor.

NFLRT Preseason Prediction: Von Miller, Broncos

NFC Alternative: Luke Kuechly, Panthers

Up Next: Offensive Rookie of the Year, Defensive Rookie of the Year, Breakout Player of the Year, MVP
