#7 - Lynn Swann 65 Yard Catch in Super Bowl X

January 18, 1976 - Super Bowl X vs Cowboys

The aptly named Lynn Swann makes this impossible catch in Super Bowl X. This was the more impressive of two crucial catches made by Swann on his way to being named the Super Bowl X MVP; the first wide receiver to be named MVP in NFL history.

WOW! All sorts of overrated catches on this list especially #1 and #2, “The Catch” is not as good as it seems David Tyree’s catch IS NOT THAT GOOD overrated. Eli Manning gets so much crap when David Tyree never would have even had he chance for the catch if it weren’t for him escaping the pocket. Where’s Brent Grimes? Catches should be based on how good the catch is not how much of an effect it has on the game. The helmet catch wasn’t even that good, i did the exact same thing in one of my middle school games, yet no one cares because this was the freakin super bowl. Tryree’s catch totally changed that game, but it belongs on a different list. Sorry NFL
