That’s right, the best Hail Mary in NFL history was an incomplete pass. By definition, Hail Mary is a prayer, and the prayers of 31 other teams were answered when the Patriots were denied another Super Bowl victory by Eli Manning and the Giants. Most importantly, Aaron Hernandez was the Hail Mary target on this play and it would have been in poor taste for his legacy to include one of the best Super Bowl plays in NFL history.
