Top 15 Running Backs in 2014 NFL Draft
The 2014 NFL Draft is quickly approaching. While it’s becoming more and more likely that a running back won’t be drafted in the 1st round, this class has some special talent that could still develop into contributors at the NFL level.
1. Arizona Ka’Deem Carey - 5’9 3/4″ 207 lbs
While he might not be #1 on many RB draft boards, Carey could be the best RB taken in this class. Carey is a complete running back that can run, pass block, and catch the ball out of the back field. His vision is in a class of it’s own and he has the patience of a seasoned veteran. He is gritty and powerful when fighting for extra yards.
There have been concerns of his speed and high pad level. Carey ran a 4.66 40-yard dash and that may have scared some teams away, but we have learned over time that you can’t truly gauge running backs by 40 times because it does not account to their vision and instincts when running the football.
Ka’Deem Carey won’t wow you with any individual attributes, but he does everything really well.
