2014 NFL Mock Draft 4.0
#17
The Ravens let RT Michael Oher sign with the Titans in free agency, but were able to keep LT Eugene Monroe. Michigan T Taylor Lewan is a top-10 talent, but may see a slip in the draft due to character red flags as he faces misdemeanor assault charges for an altercation after the Ohio State-Michigan game. Lewan can thank Richie Incognito if he slips this far in the draft for character issues with the Martin-Incognito bullying story still fresh in GMs’ minds.
Ravens Previous Mocks: WR Marqise Lee, T/G Zack Martin, S HaHa Clinton-Dix
#18
The overhaul of the Jets offense continues as they provide Geno Smith/Michael Vick more weapons to spread the ball to. Eric Decker and LSU WR Odell Beckham Jr. accent each other really well and would provide the Jets with the playmakers they always hoped Santonio Holmes would become. Add Chris Johnson in with this offensive line and the Jets on offense could be comparable to their stout defense.
Jets Previous Mocks: TE Eric Ebron
#19
The Dolphins overhaul of the offensive line continues as they move past the Incognito-Martin scandal that took attention away from a solid season of development from QB Ryan Tannehill. After adding LT Branden Albert, Notre Dame T/G Zack Martin would solidify the line and Tannehill could be even more comfortable and productive in his 3rd season.
Dolphins Previous Mocks: RT Morgan Moses
#20
The Cardinals are the last team to beat the Super Bowl Champion Seahawks. They did so with a solid defense that has needed to be slightly retooled this offseason with the loss of free agent Karlos Dansby, again. John Abraham was one of the bargain deals of the year in 2013, but he is 35 and the Cardinals need someone to take the pressure off oh him to provide a pass rush for 16+ games. Auburn DE/OLB Dee Ford is built in the mold of Colts pass rusher, Robert Mathis, and his pass rushing ability translates well as an OLB in a 3-4 defense.
Cardinals Previous Mocks: DT Ra’Shede Hageman & DE/OLB Anthony Barr
