Top Rated Players by Position in Madden 15

Defensive Ends

Texans DE JJ Watt

JJ Watt was pretty much the only positive from the Texans in 2013. He has the makings to be one of the most dominant players of this generation. There’s not a lot of room for improvement from Watt: 99 Power Moves/98 Block Shedding/97 Tackle.

Randy Moss was the first player to get a 100 rating in Madden 11 for his SPC (Spectacular Catch). It’s looking like JJ Watt should be headed for 100 OVR in a future Madden Roster Update if he starts strong on the field in 2014.

Rams DE Robert Quinn

Robert Quinn had one of the most surprising breakout years in 2013 and saw a huge spike in his Madden 15 OVR rating. Quinn is looking like he has the potential to be one of the premier 4-3 pass rushers for the next few years: 84 SPD/95ACC/97 PMV.

Dolphins DE Cameron Wake

Cameron Wake has made the most of his NFL opportunity since transitioning from the CFL. The Dolphins defense doesn’t have a lot of playmakers, so look to Wake to use as your user-defender off the edge with his 95 ACC getting him a fast jump on the line and 97 FMV to move around left tackles.

Cardinals DE Calais Campbell

If it wasn’t for JJ Watt, Calais Campbell would be known as the prototypical 3-4 DE. At 6’8″, 300 pounds, Campbell has the versatility to move inside on passing downs: 88 TAK/94 FMV/92 PUR

Saints DE Cameron Jordan

The move to Rex Ryan’s aggressive 3-4 defense proved to be a career changing one for Cameron Jordan. His 95 PMV and 91 PUR will make him a disruptive force on the defensive line. Jordan is the type of Madden player you can let the CPU manipulate and he will still make impact plays.

Jets DE Muhammad Wilkerson

Wilkerson is the 2nd DE from a Ryan brother defense on this list. He is similar to Cameron Jordan with even more potential for a pass rush: 97 BSH/96 PUR/96 TAK/89 PMV

_______

Defensive Tackles

Lions DT Ndamukong Suh

Suh has insane strength (98 STR) at the DT position to go along with 97 PMV, so he should be bull rushing interior lineman all game. The 95 PUR and 82 AGI should help him track down RBs and QBs once he bust through the line to make plays in the backfield. Suh should be on the field for the Lions Defense every play.

Bengals DT Geno Atkins

2013 was a lost season for Geno Atkins, but he should rebound in 2014. His 92 ACC is rare among DTs and should be able to make plays in the backfield and even track players down from behind.

Buccaneers DT Gerald McCoy

Gerald McCoy has been a steady anchor in the Bucs DLine for a few years, but hasn’t had much help. He’s got a new pass rushing DE to cause havoc with in Michael Johnson, which will only force offensive lines to leave him alone in one-on-one situations more often. McCoy’s attributes are very balanced against the run and pass: 97 PMV/95 PUR/91 TAK

Bills DT Kyle Williams

Kyle Williams has been a steady veteran and for that he gets the 95 AWR that will have him locked in on every play. 95 TAK and 95 PMV makes him a disruptive DT with the flexibility to play in multiple schemes.

Titans DT Jurrell Casey

Jurrell Casey will be moving to a 3-4 defense as a NT and it will be interesting if his size prevents him from making an impact. Casey might be solid against the run nonetheless with 95 PUR/94 TAK/88 PMV.
