Biggest NFL Draft Busts: Where Are They Now?

By on April 15, 2014

The history of the NFL Draft is littered with busts and the earlier the selection the bigger the bust. This is a list of 10 of the biggest bust in NFL Draft history.

#10 - QB Heath Shuler

Picked 3rd Overall in the 1994 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins

Record as starter: 8-14

Career Stats:

15 TDs

33 INTs

49.2% completed passes

Heath Shuler held out his rookie year and missed some training camp. During his 3rd year, he was benched in favor of fellow 1994 draft-mate and 7th round pick, Gus Frerotte. Freotte went to the Pro Bowl that year and Shuler was traded to the Saints for a 5th round pick, suffered a serious foot injury and was unable to stay healthy enough to get another starting chance.
