Biggest NFL Draft Busts: Where Are They Now?

By on April 15, 2014

#8 - DT Steve Emtman

Picked 1st Overall in the 1992 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts

19 Starts

8 Sacks

Steve Emtman is one of the many draft busts whose career was hampered by injuries. His most memorable play was the game-sealing 90-yard interception return for a touchdown as time expired in a 31-20 upset win at the Miami Dolphins in his rookie year. That rookie year was cut short after 9 games due to a knee injury. In his 2nd year, he tore his patella tendon; an injury no one had previously come back from in the NFL. He beat all odds to return against his home team Seahawks, only to rupture a disk in his neck.
