#3 - QB Tim Couch

Picked 1st Overall in the 1999 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns

Record as starter: 22-37

Career Stats:

64 TDs

67 INTs

59.8% completed passes

Tim Couch joined an expansion Browns team that had been poorly constructed after the original team left for Baltimore to become the Ravens. After a broken thumb sidelined him for most of the 2000 season, Couch responded well with two decent seasons and leading the Browns to a 9-7 record and playoff berth in 2002. He broke his leg in the final game and backup QB Kelly HOlcomb threw for 400 yards in their playoff loss to the Steelers. This marked the beginning of the Cleveland QB controversy and eventually the end of the Couch era. He was released in 2004, signed with the Packers, and was booed off the roster after a rotator cuff injury.
