Biggest NFL Draft Busts: Where Are They Now?

By on April 15, 2014

#7 - QB Rick Mirer

Picked 2nd Overall in the 1993 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks

Record as starter: 24-44

Career Stats:

50 TDs

76 INTs

53.3% completed passes

After he set all time NFL rookie records for attempts, completions & yards, and became only the 3rd rookie quarterback since 1970 to start all of his team’s games, Rick Mirer saw a quick decline in production and was eventually traded to the Bears for a 4th round pick. Rookie records were all eventually broken by Peyton Manning.
